American Massage Therapy Association - Some benefits of joing this association are:

• Publishes a quarterly massage journal
• Offers group health and disability insurance at an additional cost.
• Offers continuing education classes
• Allows members to post a listing for their practice on their Find a Massage Therapist section of their highly trafficked website.
• Allows members to search their extensive job listings.
• Price as of May 2009 -$235/year for professional membership, $99/year for students

Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals - Some benefits of joining this organization are:

• Provides liability insurance
• Publishes monthly Massage and Bodywork magazine
• Provides continuing education
• Allows members to advertise their services on their high traffic website.
• Prices as of May 2009 varies from $199 to $229/year. There are lower prices for students.

International Massage Association

• Provides liability insurance
• Provides discounted medical insurance at an extra cost.
• Allows members to open a solo 401K account.
• Allows members to advertise on their high traffic website.
• Price as of May 2009 was $199/year. There is an option to join without liability insurnace for $149/year.

American Massage Council. This organization provides liability insurance only. The price as of May 2009 was $99/year. It does not provide any other benefits besides liability insurance.
